First of all ~~ Thank you so much for praying for mom ~~

Yesterday was a VERY long day. We got to the hospital just before 7:30 am and she didn't actually get to surgery until 4:00 pm, yes lonnnnnnnnnnnng day. But the surgery went well. Her doc said that the space was very large, but he was able to get the plate in there and put 4 screws in to hold it in place. The x-rays are crazy by my non-medical mind, but even in crazy I AM SO THANKFUL!!!! The technology just astounds me.

We just really pull together "in times like these" ~~ I love my sis's so much. I can't imagine going through something like this without us all three hanging in together. We seem to all have our roles in each situation and just act accordingly ~~ it is a beautiful thing.

My sis D stayed with mom at the hospital last night, and then I'm heading up this morning to relieve her, so she can go get some rest. Hopefully, mom will still be able to go home later today. She has a drain in her neck, but that should come out this morning.

Again, Thank you for your prayers. We are all so exhausted and it isn't done yet, recovery has just begun, but I know that the Father will give us all strength.

Have a Blessed day, Dawn

  1. Praying for you mom, Dawn, that she has a speedy recovery.

  2. Hey Dawn, so glad to see the update and hear that things went well. Praise the Lord! I have been praying!

My mom has not been online to check blogs the past couple of days, so she wanted me to let you know that she has been praying for both of you. I will let her know this update!

  3. Dawn,

I am so thankful to hear that things went well. I have not been able to get online yesterday or today and I was so anxious to hear how everything went.

I know that you must all be exhausted. I am praying for rest for all of you and a speedy and complete recovery for your Mom.

  4. I will continue to pray for strength for you and recovery for your mom. Hope you can get some rest this weekend!
    Love you, friend!

  5. Hey Dawn! Know I am praying! Prayer is Powerful!!!
