Learning

So as we close out 2010, I've been thinking about the New Year and all the promise a New Year always holds.

2010 has been hard in a lot of ways for me. I must admit that I have struggled greatly in this year emotionally. Yes I have struggled physically, but that has not been the worst thing. Emotional pain is so hard, and that is what I've been struggling with lately.

Last night, I went to bed after a good cry, and I woke up in the middle of the night saying:

This is what I know:
God is good all the time,
And all the time God is good.
He has the Master Plan.
He is the Master Plan.
And I can trust Him.

Sometimes life is just hard. You want the ones you love to follow Him the closest. Yes it is hard when they choose another way that will NEVER fulfill. But God is faithful and He knows my heart and He knows their heart, and I can trust Him.

The verse that went through my mind last night was:

Philippians 3:13-15 (New International Version, ©2010)
"13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Following Paul’s Example
15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you."

Okay so this is the series around the verse. It's so good. The part of the verse going through my head was "press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." That is where I am right now; pressing on and pressing in.

I encourage you in 2011 to press in, be deligent about your time with the Father. Be intentional and don't let anything stop you from pressing in to Him. He will lift you up and Bless you for it!! God is good all the time and all the time God is good!!!

Thank you for listening to me today and always. I so appreciate all of your prayers and your comments. I really do appreciate them so. My life is so greatly enriched by this community.

Love you,
