Welcome ~~ Welcome!!!
So as many of you know, today is the much anticipated, BooMaMa's Tour of Homes!!!
This is the first year I have participated, because this is the first year I've had a blog.
YIPPEE!!
So this is our CHRISTmas tree. We really have no good place to put our tree . . . But I do love it!! Isn't she lovely . . . Isn't she wonderful . . .
Every year I do some kind of theme for wrapping gifts. For example: red and white packages, or purple and silver or country. I've done many different themes. But this year I'm using paper that I have left over from last year, so I wanted to do something a little different for the top of the gifts. I've done pretty ribbons and greenery, but this year I needed simpler.
So I have a whole collection (10 in all) of the Gooseberry Patch CHRISTmas idea books, so I was looking through it and found this idea. Over sized gift tags made from scrapbook papers and fun stickers and die cuts.
Aren't these cute?
And here is the tag in action. I know it isn't a bow and all fancied up with greenery, but simple dictates that I do something a little different. And I love it!!
Here is our book shelf all decked out for the season.
(Do you like how I kept it real ~~ coats hanging in the foyer and my knee machine in the corner ~~ yep just keeping it real for ya =)
THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!
I love this Nativity set. We received this a few years ago from Dick's grandfather. He passed away last September, we miss you Paw.
This is a Nativity set I got several years ago at like a dollar store or somewhere like that.
It didn't cost very much but I just loved the unusualness of it. I'd never seen one like it.
And the Jesus to the left with his hands out, is a statue of the one in Brazil. I friend of mine went to Brazil several years ago and brought it back to me. Thanks Helen, Love it!!!
This is another shelf of our bookshelf. I really love this snowy scene.
There are a lot of memories wrapped up on this shelf.
This little stocking is hung in the kitchen this year. I got this at a garage many years ago for like .25 or something really inexpensive like that ~~ LOVE IT!!

This is our table right now. I change it very often. This is the arrangement that I had in another basket earlier in the month, but now it sits in the top of our picnic basket. Speaking of this basket, I got this at a garage sale for $3 a few years ago ~~ WOW ~~ I know!!
This is my fav holiday tea: Peppermint Green Tea ~~ delish!!
Please come in ~~ have some tea with cranberry bread and pumpkin chocolate chip bars.
Dakota made this when he was 4 years old at our churh.
It is made out of the bottom of a paper sack with hay included.
How cute is this?
It is made out of a dog bone, and the only thing we've had to do to keep it looking good is reglue the ears. It is so GREAT that it has stayed in such good condition all these years.
This is an ornament from one of the girls from the Youth Choir I used to direct. GREAT!!!
Don't get to busy. Don't be like Dak here trying to get it all done at once . . .
pace yourself . . .
enjoy the True Reason for the Season.
Unto us a Son is given;
and the government shall be upon His shoulder,
and His Name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
