Laundry, and the Dishes and various other household duties . . . bring 'em on!!!

So if there has been one thing that has been completely lacking since November 11th, 2008, (surgery date) it would be my housecleaning skills. Being that I was put on strict "no contact" with house duties by husband, PTist, oh yeah, and the doc, family, friend, blog readers . . . . I have been SEVERELY lacking in my housecleaning skills.

Those of you who know me in person and all, know that I enjoy a clean house. (Carrie is laughing at this right now. Yes she is smiling from ear to ear and shaking her head yes with a GREAT BIG AMEN at the end =) love you Carrie . . . anyway . . . you know I heart me a clean house. Well it has alluded me lately . . . but not any more!!!!!

I am back to cleaning house, at least to some kind of normal degree!!!

So what does this mean exactly? Yes that would mean that my knee is definitely feeling better!!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!! The swelling is down (not gone, but down) and the pain is SO much better. I have been walking; I'm now up to 20 mins at a time and shooting for 25 mins later today (I'll leave a tweet to let you know how it goes). I have been taking ibuprofen more and that is helping a lot. I have to be careful with how much I take because it really makes my tummy hurt and gets the SVT going, but so far so good. I'm being REALLY careful!!!

I cannot tell you the joy that simple housecleaning has brought me both last night and this morning. I cleaned my kitchen between commercials of the strangest and possibly most boring Oscar show I have ever seen. And I am a fan . . . usually. But this year with all the strangeness, and all the weird stuff, I was ready for bed, lonnnnng before it was over. So when I turned on the news this morning, that is when I actually heard who won the "big" awards. I did, however love some of the dresses. I loved all the glam!!!

How in the world did I get from cleaning to the Oscars?!! You know me, I'm nothing if I'm not a little random =)

anyway . . .

So this morning I have been cleaning away and ready to go for my walk. Hubs left me Dak's car so I could go walking at the track this morning instead of our local CC path. There was an attempted kidnapping in our Walgreen's on Saturday night just like about 10-15 mins from here and they haven't caught who did it. So hubs said no walking outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He takes such good care of me.

So back to this housecleaning thing for a minute . . . I am finding it quite hard to get in the groove again. Before, I had such a good routine and really looked forward to spring and fall cleaning (again Carrie is smiling =) but now I just need to get back to the basics. So if ya'll have any good ideas to get me back on the housecleaning train, I'd so appreciate it.

I have so much more to talk about, but I really must get up and get going. Oh and I'm kind of behind on my blog reading, but I'll be hopefully getting caught up this week. We've had more crazy computer problems, so it is limiting me. boo.

Love you all ttttttttttttttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssss much, okay more than that, but you know =)

She has great ideas for decluttering and taking babysteps to routines that help us keep our house clean.

    Glad you're feeling better.

  3. So glad to hear that your knee is feeling so much better, but I can definitely think of plenty of things I would want to do other than housecleaning! I wish I shared your zeal for household chores.

It's a shame that you don't live close to me because I have PLENTY of cleaning that you could do.

Take care of yourself and don't overdo it! And NO walking outdoors! Scary!

    Love you, sweet friend!
