UPDATE ON DAK

Hi all, we just got back from the doc and it will be two days before we know for sure what it is. We know what it is NOT ~~ it is NOT H1N1, which we are so thankful for.

She told us it is one of three things:
Tonsilitis
Intra Virus
or
Mono

He has a lymph node that is swollen about the size of a nickel and she said if its Mono that in 48 hours it will be about the size of a half dollar and he will be feeling no better and also she said his throat will look really bad.

She's going to call on Saturday and check on him and give us the results of some tests ran today, and see if she needs to order more tests. Isn't it great that the doc herself will be calling. I heart our docs.

Thank you so much for praying for him. I will keep you posted on what we find out on Saturday or if we end up going in before then. She said if he starts getting worse quick that we need to get right back in before Saturday.

Poor guy is still feeling really rotten. We stopped at Braums on the way home. He wanted a steak sandwich and fries and of course ice cream, and he ate his ice cream and took about 2 bites of his sandwich and decided he'd try to eat it later. Isn't it weird when your sick how good you think things will taste and then they just don't. Poor guy =(

Thank you for remembering him and I will keep you posted,

So right there with you. Still lifting Dak up in prayers! Hopefully it is just something "going around" and he will be up and back on his feet really soon!

  5. I just now am getting to check blogs. So sorry to hear Dak is sick. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he has mono. That stuff will SLAM you down... although there are varying degrees of it.

I KNOW how hard it is to see your "happy go lucky" child feeling so sick. I'll be praying especially for him... and I'll check back to see if you have any updates.

    Hang in there, Momma!

  7. Poor thing, I will keep him in my prayers. It's lousy to be sick over a holiday. I'll watch for your update. Have a great weekend.
