Lots O' Stuff!!

Well, today I have several things to post about: Memory verses for the next two weeks, update on the old knee, a tag, an award AND MM-BR (Monday Morning Book Review) is back -- YAY!!!

So sit back with that yummee cup of goodness and enjoy this Monday of madness in the Winslow-House hold!!!!! =)

First of all my memory verse for the next two weeks is one that I put in Dick's lunch one day last week, and God was really speaking to me through it. But in true human fashion, decided when it was time to pick a verse I would look elsewhere, although I already knew it was the verse for me. Why do I do that? anyway . . . I of course, came back to these verses, because they are the ones God illuminated to my heart, and when the events of yesterday unfolded, I told my husband last night that I totally knew why.

Feb 1st: Matthew 21:21-22 "Jesus replied, 'I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.'"

This verse is so speaking to me right now given the situation with my knee. I am just not sure what is going on with it right now. It is so swollen and at times I can't straighten it out all the way and it is really painful. It is the tendons on the lateral side and back of my leg, but we really don't know for sure why. But I told Dick last night that this was one test I fully intended on passing. I have NO DESIRE TO GO AROUND THIS MOUNTAIN AGAIN!!!!! If ya know what I mean. I've been saying all the right things lately, and I fully intended on doing the right things as well and stand on the Word of God and the Truth that He imparts in my life daily. I'm standing people!! Even when it's hard. I want to make it through this trial stronger than when I went in to it!!! Praise His Name!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was tagged by Jacquie for this fun photo tag. I believe hers was take pic #4 from file #4, but my file #4 didn't have 4 pics in it, so I'm doing pic #7 from file #7.

How fun is this? This is a pic from Dak's 8th grade graduation. How great!!!!!
These are his friends from left to right:
Bobby, Dak, Travis and Tyler. Look at him leaning down. He just towers above them. Even in the 8th grade. Him and his tall self =)

Thanks for the fun tag Jacquie. I love looking at our pics and sharing them as well. So if you'd like to play along, please do.

Then I got this very sweet award from Abbi, a new blog friend of mine. If you haven't checked her out you really should. She is so sweet and way, way cute and adventurous (love that), and has the cutest daughter you've ever seen. You just want to scoop her up and love on her. Such a fun blog and family, so check her out!!!

This is such a cute award and there is nothing you have to do on this one but pass it on.
So. . .

I'd like to pass it on to 5 of my blog friends that have really impacted my life over the last several months.

1). Emilie at MiMi's memories. She is just the sweetest person with the best accent you have ever heard. I love her so. She has just been the best friend to me through this whole knee surgery, Mayo thing and I love her so.
2). Betsy - She is another wonderful lady of God that lives out loud her love for her family and her God. I love her so too.
3). Heather at Life at Sonic Speed - She is the sweetest lady with such a wonderful spirit. She has faced many obstacles in the last couple of years, but she has faced them with grace and honesty. I love to read her blog. God has blessed her with a second baby on the way that she prayed and hoped for, for a long time. Love you girl.
4). Stephanie at "Happily Ever After" - I love this MN girl!! She is so sweet and such a woman of God. I love to read her blog and hear about her baby girl that will be here in about 10 weeks or so. YAY!!!!!
5). Rebecca Jo - This lady is so talented in her knitting and she's even ATTEMPTING to help me knit, it is an issue for me. I'm bad at it, really bad, but she is hanging in there with me. And she has such a heart for God. I heart her so.

So check out all of these GREAT ladies blogs. I know they would love it!!!!

Well tomorrow I will post another Book review. This post has gotten out-of-control long, so I'll save it for tomorrow, but it was a GREAT book on health. So I look forward to posting about it.

Have a Blessed day,
