Random, Random, SERIOUSLY Random Friday...

Okay so let me start by saying, woops where have I been since Tuesday? Well, I have been really busy. Remember I told you last week that I was starting my housework by list this week and also our menu, well that is what I did except for getting the menu on paper. Hopefully I'll do better with that this coming week. But I have kept, at least to a degree, my cleaning schedule. It has been very helpful to me.

Now I said "to a degree" because I am finding that it is a slower process than it used to be, because of the ol knee, but it is very doable. But the frustrating thing is my house is messier than it was when I started, because how many of you know to clean it up, you have to get it out. Is there a Spiritual connotation to that as well? Yes, I believe there is.

In order to get your house clean you have to get rid of the junk and organize the rest. That is what I've been up to. I'm so happy with the results so far and maybe I'll give you a blog-tour once I'm complete, let's say in the year 2050 ~~ hahahaha ~~ seriously in the coming months weeks, I'll give ya a tour. I'm especially happy with the way the room off of the kitchen is coming. My hubbee does excellent work.

Speaking of Mr. Wonderful, he will be even more wonderful when he gets home this evening (if that were even possible) because he will have 'lil man with him. Yes Sir Cuteness himself is coming to visit us this weekend. I'm ready, bring him on. I need some serious Sky hugs!!!

anyway....

Today is the 15th and time for my new Memory Verse. It is #10 of the year ~~ can you believe it?!! So cool. So what is my verse for this time? Ummmm I don't quite have it yet. I do have one in mind, but I want to do a little research to clarify it before I post. So tomorrow or Sunday I will post my next MV.

Do you ever get to a closed chapter in your life and just feel sadness and joy all at the same time? That is kind of where I'm at today. In our CYC meeting today we decided that Carrie and I would step back and let the students take over next year. Believe me when I say, this is a very good thing. They want to step up and their willing to get others involved. I have so loved all of these students and I just can't wait to see what God does next year. It doesn't mean we won't be involved at all, it just means that I won't teach much and probably even won't attend every week like I do now. So I'm just a little sad, but God is so good and it will be an exciting year of growth for the kids. That is AWESOME!!!

Today I've been wondering where God will lead me next. I love being in ministry and I love student ministry, but I also love women and women ministries, and music, and do a little writing once in a while, and I just so love God!! I am really looking forward to this next chapter. A new chapter holds such promise doesn't it?

Well, we've tried some new recipes this past week like: Taco Cups and Roasted Cauliflower (not in the same meal, wouldn't that be weird...anyway... =) and so I will try to get those and others posted in the coming days.

Well, I know this has been just a whole lot of randomness, but after all it is Random Friday in my cottage corner of the world =0)

Have a Blessed weekend,

  1. Dawn,

First of all, congratulations for making a start on some many other things in your life, food list and housework along with spiritual verse memorization.

Great for you and it will make a huge difference in all areas of your life. It does however take time to get a pattern together. Hang in there, it will pay off!

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Your blog always gives me a sense of peace and purpose--thanks for that!

    Love you!

  8. I have gotten so behind on my blog reading in recent weeks, but doesn't mean that you haven't been in my thoughts. I hope things slow down soon and we can get caught up with each other.

Hope you have a great week, my friend!
