The Best Laid Plans ....

Seriously need to be covered in prayer!!!

Can I get an amen from the Louisville section?!?!! =)

I got to thinking this weekend as I was cleaning our diaster of a lovely kitchen. You see on the weekends anything goes as far as housework, or really nothing goes, because we just hang out and play with Sir Cuteness and watch Prince Dak be a teen and ya know various and sundry other things that might be happening in this Cottage Corner of the world. It really is lovely.

Well as I was picking up the kitchen Saturday evening, I had an epiphany. Ya know one of those times when you just KNOW, this is a longing fulfilled. I know it sounds weird, but yes as I was standing over my sink and doing dishes and getting things ready for the morning (because when a baby comes to visit, you must have your morning started already, because they hit the floor crawling and hungry. anyway... =) it hit me. I was thinking back when I was a teenager in high school and what I wrote in my senior book. (Do they even still have those?) This was like, where do you see yourself in five years? This is what I wrote: being a housewife and mom. Period.the.end. All I wanted to do with my life summed up in those five words.

Well, things of course, worked out much differently than I'd had planned, and it definitely took much longer than five years, but as I was standing in my kitchen those words came back to me. That was a longing in my heart.....a longing fulfilled. Now I would have had more youngin's if I could have and maybe learned more natural cleaning tips earlier =) , but all-in-all, I'm living a longing fulfilled. I love that!!!!! God is good!!!!! I look forward to all he will fulfill in me in the future, longings, desires, hopes, dreams, He is just THAT GOOD!!!!!

So my best laid plans should have been covered in prayer much sooner than they were, but God is good and His timing is perfect. Can I get an AMEN from the NC section?!! =)

So this story leads to my next verse in the LPM Scripture Memorization Verses. Well let me start by quoting my last LPMSCV:

Galatians 6:14 "God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me and I unto the world."

This verse has spoke volumes to me over the last couple of weeks.

So my verse for this time is a very familiar one, but a very timely one for me (as they have all been), and it encompasses a couple more verses.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.'"

I have quoted verse 11 many times and parts of 13, but I want to meditate on these verses and really get them deep into my heart. Ya know what I mean....really know the Word. It takes time and work, but it is the best time spent.

So what would a Monday post be without some pictures of Sir Cuteness himself?
So let's begin with a little game I like to call, "back me into a corner GiGi, go ahead back me in!!"
So why do we call it that?!! Well because this itty bitty likes to be backed into a corner. He finds himself in every corner he can squeeze into and a few he really shouldn't be squeezing into.

Like this one..... It is between the chair and couch and the hole he's trying to get through leads to the kitchen.


Okay, so he is an itty bitty, but NOT itty bitty enough to fit into this hole....nope.no.way.get.out.of.there.before.you.get.your.head.stuck.sir.cuteness!!!
So being the coolest GiGi ever.....ahem.....I moved the chair and.....


VOILA!!! Success!! Here is happy sir cuteness ,complete with plug, out into the open of the kitchen. YAY!! Thanks GiGi...No prob Scoot.....anytime!!! =)
Note: Chair went right back into spot, can't have him escaping all the time =)

Be still my g-babe loving heart!!! If you could see him with his papa your heart would completely melt. It is the sweetest thing in the world!!
