So I must tell you, that this snow is throwing my mojo off.
But I'm trying to get back on track.
I enlisted the help of my friend G on Friday to take me to the grocery store.
Talking about loving well, G definitely does. If I need something, she is all over it
and always happily.
Well, when we got home on Friday, Dak was enjoying ANOTHER snow day,
and he decided to go out in the snow.
He went out to the trampoline and started cleaning it off.
It had HUGE sheets of ice on it.
And yes he has a bigger coat.....
and yes he is 18.....
and yes if you have an 18 year old you understand.....
and if not.....
be prepared for hardly any coat at this age.....
It is an unexplained fact of life for the 18 year old (boy anyway)....
On the trampoline.....
As he was taking the big sheets of ice off of the trampoline,
I wondered what he was doing with them....
At first I thought a fort.....
And then it started taking shape....
Let me preface this by saying that I have a VERY creative boy....
He takes after his mother.....
Sheets of ice in our hands become.....
butterflys, of course!!
Here's a close up...
Good work son!!
Isn't she beautiful?!!
So one thing that really bad knees and lots of knee surgeries do for you
is leave you inside ALOT!!!
I don't get to do a lot of the outside fun stuff right now,
because the absolute last thing I need to be doing is falling.....
So I watch from the window.
But on Friday I decided that loving well meant taking a risk....
Hmmmm..... It always does doesn't it?
anyway.....
So here is Dak and I on our way out the back yard to see the butterfly.
This picture cracks me up.
My son is SO sweet with his mama!!

They are my winter staples.
IT'S A SNOWBALL!!!

Seriously son!!! =)
Okay, so now you have to help me sonny boy.....
And he held me safely and handily....
He's pretty strong =)
I heart this picture.....
and this boy =)
(See the straight left leg..... such a good boy....always taking care of his mother!!!)
Beautiful!!

HeeHee
The caption Dak put on his FB under this picture was.....
"Mom, did you take you medicine this morning?"
Haahahahahahahahahaha
(Oh and there's that leg again....way out to the side.....
it makes for some interesting pictures =)
I think I'm trying to look casual....
mowing in the snow.....
ummm.....okay =)
Okay, so I have no idea what I'm doing here, but it looks like I'm explaining to Dak how to mow the snow, and it looks like he's saying, as he looks at G.....
"Ummm yeah mom.....remember your medicine tomorrow okay?"
Hahahahaha Heeheeheehee
Look at you two!!!! So cute together!!! (that hat looks so adorable on you lady!!! Scarf too!)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to get out & enjoy a bit of fun with your boy...it was making me nervous though with your knee :)
That butterfly is pretty creative!!!
Looks like you enjoyed your time out of the house.
ReplyDeleteMy son was out of school all week, and the no coat thing starts around 12. My son was running around today with no coat on, and everybody kept asking him where it was.
Glad that you finally got out with Dakota. He will always be your little boy. The pictures turned out really cute. Loved the butterfly, you should send it to KY3. Love You
ReplyDeleteOh, how cute are the two of you!? I love all the pictures. Classic. The butterfly made me laugh - how creative. I would have never thought of that :)
ReplyDeleteGood, good day.
