Please Pray.....

I'm so sorry I haven't been on all week..... my mama has been in the hospital since Thursday evening with severe hip pain and they do not know why.

They've done several tests and have ruled out cancer in her bones, which is a HUGE praise.  Cancer returning is always a concern with my mom, so that was just GREAT news for us that the bone scan was clear.

I am really hoping to be able to do a "My Vegan Ways" Monday post tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I will have enough time.  If not, I will pick it back up next week =)

Love you all and thank you SO much for praying ~~

PS 27:13-14  "I am still confident of this, I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.  Wait for the LORD, be strong and take heart and wait on the LORD."

Love you so ~~

Please Pray

Please pray for my sweet mama Christine. She has been admitted into the hospital with her heart. Their thinking probably pacemaker. It has been such a stressful day for her. Her heart is only beating 40 bpm. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Please Pray ~~~

As you all know, my dear g-babe Sir Cuteness, goes to the Cardiologist tomorrow morning. But today he woke up sick. He was moaning and just very sick. I knew something was VERY wrong. So we got up and he immediately just wanted me to pick him up and he was just doing the very pitiful cry and moaning. I asked him what was wrong and he would just rub his tummy. So I asked him if it was his tummy and he shook his head. He didn't even want to talk. So I took him to the bathroom and as he tried to go he just cried and said it hurt it hurt, so I got him up and tried to give him some water for about 30 mins and then took him back to the bathroom and he said it hurts and was just crying but did go a little.

So I made him an appt with his doc this morning and they checked his urine. He doesn't appear to have a kidney infection, but he was a little dehydrated and they found ketones in his urine. That is not good. He said that it can be an early indication of diabetes!! What in the wide world is going on?!! I just looked at him like he grew a third eye.

Sir Cuteness has lost a little more weight and that is concerning as well. Please remember our little babe. They will be keeping an eye on this ketone in his urine. They did do a finger prick today and the sugar level is still fine. So that is really good. My sister, who is a nurse, did caution that it could be the very early stages of the disease.

Thank you so much for praying for our g-babe, Skylar ~~ A.K.A. Sir Cuteness.

He is afterall the cutest newly potty trained thing a going =)

My God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than all we could ask or imagine....so we are praying with expectantcy, knowing that God is on the job and He knows our babe inside and out, for He knit him in his mother's womb. He is fearfully and wonderfully made. We love Him so!!!!!

I thank you and so does Sir Cuteness ~~~~

Please Pray ..... When Love is most definitely a Verb .....

This is Love as a Verb at its finest my dear blog readers.

I have a very special prayer request.

A month ago my stepson took our precious grandson - Sir Cuteness - to the doctor for a recheck on his iron levels and the doctor thought he heard a heart murmur. This was new to us, because it had never been heard before. So they had us make an appointment for a recheck of that which was today.

So Sir Cuteness and I headed out to the doctor this afternoon, because mommy and daddy were working. We got there and the nurse came in and his pulse-ox was a little low and then the doctor came in and listened to his heart while Sir Cuteness was in several different positions: lying down, sitting straight up, sitting a little bent over etc., and said he could still hear something in the top part of his heart, so he is sending him to a Cardiologist. I asked him what could cause the low pulse-ox and he said it could be a virus, but could also be his heart. He also found an enlarged lymph node on the back of his head, which is actually visible without even touching to feel it.

So.....

Would LOVE AND APPRECIATE your prayers, for the player of these toys .....

And the reader of this Bible............ OH how I love him!!!!! .....

And the wearer of this Superman Hat .....

Together with his Uncle KoKo.....

OH MY STARS ~~ HAVE YOU EVER?!! ~~ CAN YOU STAND THE CUTENESS?!!!

We would SO appreciate your prayers for our sweet little dude. They will be setting us up with a Pediatric Cardiologist (so hard to type) within the next 10 days.

Thank you for loving us so much to pray for our Sir Cuteness!!!!! (His name is Skylar =)

My friends, love never looks better than it does when we pray for each other.

Romans 12:9-13 (NIV)

Love in Action

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Love in the Real World .... Love is a Verb Day 10

Today I want to make love tangible for us. A way to reach out to others we know are hurting.

There are two blogs I'd like to lead you to today to pray for two very special people in two very different realities in life, but both desperately need the love of the Christian community..... to reach out to our ever-present God with them..... to hold them up ......... to cry out on their behalf and love them right along side their weary families.

They are: Joanne Heim from The Simple Wife. I know that we all are already aware of this situation, but I just read a post from her 12 year old daughter Audrey, that I believe every one of us needs to read. Powerful. Insightful. Real. Very.Real. Please read. Please pray.

And the other one is Kate McRae. Her brain cancer is back. I don't even know what else to say about that, except to pray. PRAY. For Kate. For Holly (mom). For Aaron (dad). For her brother and sister. For wisdom in unimaginable decisions they are faced with. For Jesus to heal her. Pray. Please Pray. Please read. Please Pray.

I know, and am sure, there are so many others, but these two and their heart wrenching stories are all over my heart today. Please Pray. Please Pray. Please Pray.

Thank you so much ~~ I love you so,

Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."

Another Update

It seems for the later part of this week, I've only had time for updates. So sorry about that, but I will be back to my witty, (haha) indepth, (lol) random (ain't that right=) self ummm probably Monday. (Like the way I nailed that down, clear as mud style =)

I wanted to jump on and give you an update on my B-I-L Brian. His surgery went well. In fact, his knee, looks extremely good, except of course for the tear, which doc took care of and while he was looking around in there he also saw a lot of wear on some kind of band we have in our knees. Now he described it being like the space between your nose and lip, weird huh? Well Brian's was very wore and doc said when he bent his knee that band was getting caught up in something-er-another or something like that. But the good news is, doc fixed it.

On a side note, I really liked his doc. I would spell his name for you, but it is French and trust me, I'd mess it up. So let's just say Doc C did a fine job.

Brian is home now and I haven't talked to baby sis today. So I will talk to her later today.

Lil Scoot is on his way . . . YAY!!!

Have a Blessed Saturday,

Update

Thanks to everyone for praying for my M-I-L. PRAISE THE LORD it is not her heart!!!!! In fact her heart is pumping normal, no signs of blockage and no signs of blood clots in her lungs. She does however, have shingles. Now I know this sounds weird that she would think it was a heart attack if it is shingles, but apparently where they are at on her body will cause the symptoms like she has been having. Weird huh?

But she is in the contagious stage and 2 of her grand kids (our niece and nephew) were up there today, so she is so hoping that she didn't give it to them, (which if she did they'll get the chicken pox). We are so very thankful this was not her heart. She was SOOOOOOOOO relieved.

I also saw my B-I-L and baby sis today at the hospital, he was doing his pre-admit stuff. Please remember him tomorrow as he has knee surgery. It is to be out-patient. He is really limping and in a lot of pain right now, so he is actually really glad to get this fixed. I'll update on that tomorrow when I get home.

You all are so sweet to always remember my knee and tell me to take it easy and be mindful of it. I am a go-getter. It is just the way God designed me, so in situations like today it is so easy for me to over do it, but I didn't. I used my crutch and took it easy, even I was surprised =)

Thank you again so much for praying for us and our families.

Have a Blessed evening,

Prayer Request . . .

Good sweet Thursday to you. I only have a few minutes to post, before I get Dak up and over to school and me dressed and out the door. But I wanted to ask for your prayers this morning.

Dick's mom was taken to the hospital yesterday and they think she has had a heart attack. They are running a stress test among other things today. I will be heading up there as soon as I get around. Please pray for wisdom for the docs and peace for Dicks mom. She's having a hard time with this.

Also if you would pray for his sister Barb and brothers Matt and Roy, they all desperately need the Lord. I have been praying this morning that God would use me in some way today to be a blessing to them and to point them to Christ.

There will be a lot of walking involved today and the knee is swollen this morning. So I am taking my crutch even though it slows me down, but you know safety first =) Please pray that the swelling will stay at bay and that I won't have a major flare up. I'm believing God!!!

And also my B-I-L Brian is having knee surgery tomorrow. He has a torn meniscus in two places -- ouch!! So if you would say a pray for him and my sis Dena I'd be so grateful.

Thank you so much for praying and I'll update later today when I get back home.

I would so appreciate it if . . .

Update: The knee is still not good. Dick is on his way home -- YAY!!! So I know I'll feel better when he is home with us to watch the Super Bowl!! I say later in this post that I will be posting my verse tonight, but it will probably be tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers. I so appreciate it, I'm just not sure what to do right now. I'm not able to put weight on it and it really hurts. Again thank you for your prayers!!!!!

Original post:
You would say a prayer for this knee of mine.

I woke up today and it is trying to seize up on me. I have been having a problem with my tendon on the back and outside of my knee. My PTist said it is the Lateral Hamstring that is causing me real problems. This has just started in the last week, but we thought we had it worked out. But this morning has proven different.

I am back on both crutches and just trying to work it out so we do not have to take any drastic measures. But I am in a lot of pain, so it is difficult to really do anything. Dak is being so helpful, because Dick has had to work today, bummer. But of course he is 45 minutes away and worried about his wife.

So if you would say a prayer, I'd so appreciate it. My mind is trying to be a booger with thoughts that are counter-productive, so I am choosing to listen to the Holy Spirit within me that is telling me to quote the scriptures that I have hidden in my heart. You know like, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." My God is in control, so I am chillin'!!!! "I know whom I have believed and I'm pursuaded that He's able to keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day." He is God and He is good and HE IS SO VERY ABLE!!!!!

Thank you for your prayers and I'll post my new verse to hide away in this heart of mine a little later!!!!!

Thank you so much for your prayers,
Dawn
