What I like about You.....at 50!!

So today my dear man.....

is 50!!!!!

My Mr. Winslow is the sweetest thing EVER!!

Okay so if I were to name 50 reasons why

(which I won't, but if I were)  =)

.....

Some of those reasons would be the following.....

HE LOVES JESUS!!

FULL ON!!!

And that right there is enough,

but my man goes above and beyond.

Always.

He LOVES his family

with this deep abiding love.

He draws you in.....

into his life.....

into his world....

into his heart.

He LOVES to hike.

Goes without saying

we are two peas in a pod,

my Mister Winslow and I.

And this Gbabe?

He is COMPLETELY ruined over!!

He is THE BEST PaPa in the world!!!

Any doubts, just ask Sir Cuteness.

He will not skip a beat in telling you.

HE IS THE BEST!!

He is fit and adventurous.

Yep a good hike in the snow.

That'll get the blood pumping.

And did I mention he LOVES adventure?

Like going out into the wilderness

where you can't get to anywhere other than

with canoe or feet.

Yep.  

He is so cool like that!

And he is the best husband on the planet!!

He loves me so completely.

Just like God intended a man to love his wife.

Like Christ loves the church.

I am certain without hesitation

this man would lay down his life for me,

in a heartbeat.

Love like his

changes a person.

I am the most Blessed woman

ever!!

To have a man like mine,

is to have the cream of the crop.

So to my Mr. Winslow,

Honey you are the absolute best!!

I love you and esteem you

and hope your 50th birthday

And Then He Turned 5..... WHAT?!!!!

Yes you read that right.....

Sir Cuteness turns 5 TODAY!!!

This boy is just the sweetest thing going.
He makes this world a better place.
He makes me a better person.
He is goodness wrapped up in a beautiful 5 year old package.

Last night we had his birthday party,
and what a party it was.
Here are some of the festivities in action....

Oh yes, it was quite the spread.
At one point in the afternoon, Sir Cuteness pours me some punch
and says, "Here Grandma, you been working hard all day." =)
I tell you, this child is the sweetest thing.  He is so thoughtful
and loves full on!!

There were presents.....
Ya know, torpedo blasters and web slingers.....

And cake!!
Oh this cake!!!

I took the pic on my phone to Price Cutter and the lady said no
problem.  She'd fix us up and boy did she ever!
And this only costs $8.99.  WHAT?!!  BOOM!!!!!

And candles.....
oh yes we had candles.
Six to be exact.
Yes I know, he's 5,
but one of those candles was a very special Spidey candle,
so we had to have it and the five regular candles.
Its the way we roll.

Blow out those candles little man!!

And celebrate being 5!!!

Yes after much consideration and really an urging from the Lord,

I am back.

I have started posts and deleted them.

I have two currently drafted but not finished.

I miss this blog, and know it is time to get it going again.

I have never met anyone like My Mr. Winslow!!!

Y'all I must tell you.....

He is it for me!!

The man that makes my heart go pitter patter.....

And the man who turns 48 today!!!

I wish I could do a post all about the wonderfulness of this man,

but alas, it would be an encyclopedia.....

I truly mean that.

He is so good to me.....

And he loves me like NO OTHER!!!

He leads our family well!!!

He helps me to grow in my walk with Jesus every.single.day.

And when he prays with me, time stands still.

Still.

I am crazy sometimes.....

I hurt a lot.....

Therefore, he hurts a lot,

because that is what you do when you love like this.....

If they hurt, you hurt.....

He has that deep well of love,

not shallow.....

He has the capacity to talk me down from any ledge =)

and love me through every trial.....

He is the best.....

Yep, all that and a bag of chips this man.

So I just thought I'd share a few pics of my man.....

Random Friday on Monday =) ~~ Birthday Edition ~~

OH MY STARS ~~ It is SO good to be back!!!

I have been having trouble with blogger.again.

But now I'm back. 

So in honor of me being back.....

anyway.....

So my birthday was on August 26th, so last Friday, and I had such a wonderful day.

I am a Well Blessed Woman!!!

First, G took me and Sir Cuteness to Lola's for lunch.

Now let me just say, if y'all live in the area and have never been.....shame on you and GO.

And if you don't live in the area, when you come to visit your blog buddy in MO, because I know you want to RJ, Jacquie, Stephanie, Meredith..... =)  I will take you to lunch at Lola's and we will bask in the blueberry poppy seed dressing and coconut cake, among other things =)

anyway.....I digress.....

Here is Sir Cuteness, doing what he does best, being cute =)

I'm pretty sure it's his love language.....I KNOW it's mine =)

Oh.my.stars. he is the cutest thing in an "I Love Grandma" t-shirt going.....

Yep, they are another year older too....

When I told Leggs my hands looked older,

she said they just looked used.

Yep made me feel NO better =)

And here is G and I.....

Ya know hanging out on my birthday.....

By-the-way, she looked so pretty that day and I looked so sloppy,

but in my defense it was Friday which is Bear Wear day (every Friday if you are an MSU'er or have a kiddo at MSU, Friday's are Bear Wear Day, so my birthday was on a Friday, so I donned my Bear Wear), that and it was my birthday after all =) 

So thanks for looking so pretty G, and so sorry I was, well dressed down at best =)

Oh I wish I'd taken a picture of Sir Cuteness's food.....

It was a muffin tin and each section had a different food..... like,

one section had turkey, another cheese, another carrots, another a dish of ranch dressing, and so on.....

It was SO cute!!!!  And he LOVED it!!!!!

And then for dessert it came with a cookie that he got to pick out.

So he picked out the apple sugar cookie of course and I put whipped cream on it from my Homemade Angel Food Cake.  It was SO good!!!!!

And I might have put a little on his nose =)

Bliss.

Sheer. Total. Bliss.

I love this mouth!!!!!

And then that afternoon Dak, Legs, K and 2 Suite Mates made their way home.

Dak came running in before everyone else.....

Bounding into the house and hugged me SO TIGHT!!!!!

This was the hug!!!!!

Oh.my.stars.

Bliss.

Do I look short?

Why yes, yes I do =)

I'm not the only one who has really missed Dak.....

I'm trying to show him how to accept his award letter stuff.....

No.  No he's not.

So there you have it ~~ it was a Beautiful Birthday.

That evening when everyone had gone, Mr. Winslow and I ate pizza and watched Soul Surfer, which is a GREAT movie, by the way, and then on Saturday he took me to town and bought me a tool bag.  I have been wanting one for a really long time.  I need a central place for my screwdriver's and such and needed some new ones, so he fixed me up and took me to lunch at Zio's.  SO YUMMY!!!!!

And then this past Saturday (day before yesterday) Leggs took me to my favorite coffee shop and out to lunch at Zio's again.  SO good!!!!!  She bought me a mug from my favorite coffee shop and we had THE best time.  Then she came back to the house and helped me cook a lovely supper of fried fish, mashed potatoes, corn and cornbread.  We thought we were well in the south for a minute instead of just kinda =)

One more Birthday Post...

Okay, so I wanted to post one more Birthday post....

My friend Georgia took Sir Cuteness and I out to the Japanese Gardens on friday.

It was so much fun, and I wanted to post pics of this day to go along with the other funness of this years birthday.....Thanks G!!
