Where Do I Begin?

Well hello there!
I'm not even sure where to start.
Let's see I'll start with this.....
I love to blog.
Yep, but have become terrible at it.
Its so easy just to jump on FB
and type out a verse or small update
and move on.
The blog takes longer but is SO worth it!

Let me begin here
with a few pictures.....
That's a good place to start right?

Well our Sir Cuteness is in California
right now with mama and her family
on vacation.

This is the longest we have been apart
practically since he was born.
But he is having a fabulous time!!
He saw the ocean for the first time yesterday,
and he is going to Disneyland this week.
He.can't.wait.
Mickey, Minnie, Olaf
heehee
He is MOST excited to see Olaf.
Oh I hope he is wandering about
with his flurry cloud above his head =)

This was taken the night before Sir Cuteness left
on the big ole Jet Plane.
We went to TGIFriday's with
Eric, Erin and their loves.
Yes my granddaughter Miss Lady Sweetness herself.
Here she is in all her pink bowness.
Yes it is a spectacular and it appears.

And here she is with brother,
who incidentally was leaving the next
day to go with his grandparents to Florida for a week.
He will be gone the same time Sir Cuteness
will be, but at opposite ends of the country.

Then it was time for Glow Golf.
How fun.
Well I didn't actually play.

No sir, I VERY happily agreed to watch
this princess.
Oh.my.golly.
Look at that hair.
I mean seriously.
The cuteness.

She is a doll.
A.doll.

Ant then Friday morning I woke up
early and watched this babe sleeping for a bit.
Yes he was leaving later in the day,
but for now,
my heart was resting in this moment.
I love him so!!!

Then it was off to play tennis.

'nuff said.
Oh how I love him!!
Have I mentioned that?

I just LOVE this pic.
The boys are watching a video of
Sir Cuteness hanging from a rope.
hahaha
He did really good.
Held on for almost a minute.
That's big stuff for a five year old.

Here is Sir Cuteness and Hailey
on the plane.
He loved it!!

And then he fell asleep =)

Ok so this seems silly,
but I went to get my face done
yesterday because I have a new friend
from church that sells Mary Kay and
she was having an event,
so I went.
I loved it!!

She has such a story.
A beautiful, God-filled, story.

Here is my eye.
Not a part of her story,
but so a part of mine.
This is the one that has been infected.
Looking back to normal
and way prettier than normal.
I am not good at make up.
I just wear it.
Does that make sense?
Well, now I feel better at it.
YAY!!
anyway....

And here I am donning my Huskers hat.
Is it football season yet?

I love y'all!!
Please tell me I will get back into regular blogging?
I sure hope so.

Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day ~~

What we've been up to.....

Winter has been long 'round these parts,
but we have made the most of pretty days
and even some cold ones.

We have gone to Dairy Queen.
Yes in the winter.
Yes we are ready for spring.
Somehow ice cream makes us feel like spring
is going to come.

Oh Sir Cuteness,
you are so funny.

You and Dr. Pepper.
Love.

We had a very windy,
blue skied day,
that we COMPLETELY
took advantage of.

The skies were blue.
The grass was brown.
We had SO much fun!!

You LOVED this cone.

I LOVE this boy.
Oh this boy!!!

We ran back home and grabbed
another kite.
SO much fun!!!

Remembering to love.
Really love.

Watching this babe play the iPad.

Baby girl and her mama.....

My personal stylist has been back at work.

Loving my cowl.....
(thank you RJ)
If its going to be cold,
its going to be stylish.

Making forever memories.....
You can't see PaPa, but he is on the other
side of the phone being awesome!!
We love him so!!!

Sir Cuteness wanted to remember this
moment of us eating Smarties.
He called it a forever memory.
I love him!
Have I said that?

And a selfie at the gym.
Your welcome.

So that's what we've been up to.
What you been up to?

Have a Beautiful day ~~

And Then I Tried.....

Tomahawk throwing.
No need to adjust your screen.
That is right.
I, dawn, a.k.a. city girl.  girly girl.
Went Tomahawk throwing.
It was SO MUCH FUN!!!

Here let me show you.....

As great as this throw was there were many more miscues,
but when I got the hang of it,
I started understanding the throw.

My Mr. Winslow made the tomahawk I am throwing.
He is SO talented.
He is making me my own.
I am SO EXCITED!!

We are going to take them with us
this summer for all our camping trips.
I.can't.wait.

I'm feeling it =)

On the fast track to being a professional
tomahawk thrower (I wish!).
But it's a start =)

Yep, it was a FUN weekend with my man.
I can't wait to do this again!!

Have a Super Day ~~

Sunday Letters

I missed a whole week of blogging.
Dumb back.
Anyway.....
I'm back with Sunday Letters.
YAY!!!

My darling Sir Cuteness,

You got a dry erase notebook
for Christmas
and you are loving it.
Here you are writing.

Look at these amazing letters.
You are doing great!!!

This week has found us getting a little more
back to normal after all the snow
and bad weather we have had.

You are the funniest little guy.
The funniest.
=)
Hahahaha!!!

I look forward to every moment we get to spend
together.
You are the best little buddy.

I love you sweet boy ~~ Grandma

My Dear Mr. Winslow,

We have had such a quiet weekend.
It cracked me up yesterday
when we went to WalMart and
really didn't have anything we needed.
I asked you if this meant
we were getting old
and starting our daily runs to WalMart
just to get out of the house.

We crack me up.

You are continuing to help me
with my back.
I am so grateful.
You are THE BEST!!!

I love you my dear man ~~

Sunday Letters

Oh My Dear Sir Cuteness,

You are the funniest little guy.
You were in time out on Friday,
and I look over and this is what you were doing.
Yep, even time out can be fun =)
You make all things more fun.

You and PaPa have been playing H-O-R-S-E in the living
room with your little portable basketball goal.

It snowed again last night
and the cold is going to
be brutal,
so you are fighting cabin fever with things
like dragging your b-ball goal into the living room
And you and the iPad have been hanging out quite a bit.
Oh how you wish you could be outside.

We have a picture hanging in the living room
that depicts a man nailing Jesus to the cross.
It is depicting our sin is what nailed Him there.
You figured out all by yourself that it was Jesus' cross.
We were so proud of you.
You are learning,
and we are praying for your tender heart.

I love you my precious Sir Cuteness.
Grandma

*****

Oh My Dear Mr. Winslow,

You are the kindest, sweetest man.
You love me like Christ loves the church.
When I hurt,
you hurt.
When I am tired you help me
and just start doing things that need to be done.
I never have to ask you.
You are truly a blessing to me.

Our dryer died last week.
What is it with our appliances lately.
First the dishwasher
now the dryer.
You had us go right out and get a new one.
I told you I could go the laundry mat
for awhile.
You wouldn't even hear of it!
Nope.
We bought a dryer that night.

Sir Cuteness jumped right in
to help get the laundry room ready
for our pretty, new dryer.
So sweet.

I am such a Blessed woman to have you as my
man for always.
I love you darling ~~ dawn

Christmas Part 2

It seems like Christmas ran for days
with a lot of little Christmases and no
real big Christmas this year.
Just kind of a different year for us.

So the Christmas in yesterday's post
was actually on Monday the 23rd
since Sir Cuteness goes to his mama's
for Christmas Eve
and then Christmas day until noon.

On Christmas Eve I went and saw Dak.
He is just so sweet.

I might have been a bit happy to see my boy.
=)

My Mr. Winslow asked me what I wanted for Christmas.
I kicked over a few things,
but honestly, I don't need a thing.
But I did want to start Project Life this year,
and so he got me a PL kit.
I LOVE IT!!!

Such pretty colors.....

And look at this album.
So fantastic!!!

Then on Christmas
I made a little Christmas lunch
and took it to my sweet mama.

She loved having a home cooked meal
on Christmas.....

And a gift she asked for didn't hurt either.
She wanted a whistling tea kettle.
So that is what we got her.
A red one of course.

I love my mama.

Then came home and watched one of my favorite
shows of the season:
A Yellowstone Christmas on PBS.
I LOVE this show.
Having been there on vacation many
years ago, it is so cool to see it all decked
out in white.
Love.

Then Skylar got home Christmas evening
and had a gift from Granny (my mom)
to open.

He sure does like a good present.

I had coffee and quiet time.
My favorite.

And then my favorite cousins were in from Louisville.
Here is Sir Cuteness and I waiting on them
to arrive.

After lunch we went to the mall.

And after our company left the mall
Sir Cuteness and I stayed and played.
He told me that He loved Grandma time
because we could do whatever we wanted.

Like shake the hands of the mannequins.
He was SO fascinated by them.
It was cracking me up!!

And we ate gummie frogs.
It was such a fun day!!

I got the iPhone 5s the week before Christmas,
and didn't have a case for it.
And my cousin Heather from Louisville
as soon as she saw it said,
"Get a case on that!"
I don't even think she had sat down yet.
Hahaha
So to make her feel better about it
I bought a case while I was at the mall.
Its funny though, this pic makes it look baby blue,
It is not.
I don't enjoy baby blue.
It is teal.
I enjoy teal.
With a little bling.
Girl likes her bling.

Then when we got home from that excursion,
Sir Cuteness had a package in the mail.
We had ordered these Carhardt overalls
for him, but they got caught in the UPS
debacle, but boy did Amazon take care
of us.
They refunded our shipping $$$ (we had it expedited)
and they gave us a $20 credit.
We really weren't upset they didn't get here until
the day after, but it was really nice that they
did such a good job of making it better.
We appreciate it Amazon.
We really thank you!

My knee has been acting up.
Boo.
I am back on my cane.
I'm over it.
But handling it well.
I just don't want to talk about it,
and whenever anybody who knows me sees
me back on the cane, they want to know about it.
I just don't know what to say.
It is what it is, I suppose,
and with no doctor here willing to see me,
I guess I deal until I am in the mood to start
looking again.
So yeah.
That's probably the most I've talked about it.
=)

And then it all came down.
I usually do this the day after Christmas,
but with company in,
Sir Cuteness and I had fun stuff to do,
so it waited a day,
and then with the knee being hard to get along with,
My Mr. Winslow jumped right into help me.
He is so cool like that!!

And of course if there is tape,
or anything mechanical involved
Sir Cuteness is right in the thick of things.

And with that
Christmas is done for another year.

Sir Cuteness says HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day ~~
